"The bombs took our little angels away"

Today at nursery
Ali did not come to play?
On Tuesday Safia did not come to play?
On Thursday Laila did not come to play?
On Monday nobody came to play?
Miss Habeeba said it is because,
"The bombs took our little angels away!"


The bombs took our angels

We launched this wonderful "Peace Postcard petition" today at a gathering hosted by Luton Council of Faiths. It was produced by The Creative Muslim Network using a picture by primary age Isabella and words by S Rashid.

I have read many stories from Gaza over the past five weeks, and this just about sums up the pain and suffering of this terrible episode. It penetrates the childs world, and shows the betrayal of the trust that what has been going on represents. 

It carries the message:

More than a third of those killed by military action in Gaza have been children. Every child's human right is to grow up in a safe peaceful environment. Please help highlight this fact so it should never happen anywhere in the world again!!
Post this Peace Postcard to your local MP or the Prime Minister.


It carries various logos for the Luton organistions that have sponsored the card, but is not really specific to Luton. If you are interested in a bulk order leave a comment here.
